Bloom:
Mauve. Strong, geranium, moss or woody fragrance. Average diameter 4.25". Large, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters, cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Bushy. Large, glossy, medium green foliage.
Height: 28" to 3' (70 to 90cm). Width: 20" to 2' (50 to 60cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer. Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower or garden. Protect tender new spring growth from hard freezes that may cause canker, die-back and death of the plant. . Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood.. Notes:
A magnificent rose with the name of the great perfume of Christian Dior. The sumptuous flowers are cupped and appear in clusters. The color is lilac with a reverse that's light crimson. The foliage is healthy. Dioressence was removed from the Auckland Regional Botanic Gardens (ARBG) Display Trial because its trial period expired.
