Georges Alphonse Delbard (May 20, 1906 Malicorne (Allier) - March 20, 1999 Malicorne) started working with Truffaut in 1929, but opened his own shop in Paris in 1935. He started the production of fruit trees in Malicorne in 1942 and roses in 1945. On January 1, 1955 André Chabert joined the Company as the breeder of all following Delbard roses, later to be succeeded by Guy Delbard, the youngest of Georges' sons.
