HelpMeFind's future is in your hands - Please do not take this unique resource for granted.

Your support of HelpMeFind is urgently needed. HelpMeFind, like all websites, needs funding to survive. We have set a premium-membership yearly subscription amount as low as possible to make user-community funding viable.

We are grateful to the many members who have signed up so far, but the number of premium-membership members remains too small for us to sustain the current support and development level. If you value HelpMeFind and want to see it continue we need your support too.

Yearly membership is only $2.00 per month and adds a host of additional features, and numerous planned enhancements, to take full advantage of the power and convenience of HelpMeFind. Click here to start your premium membership..

We of course also welcome donations of any amount. Click here to make a donation. Donations of $24 or more receive a thank-you gift of a 1-year premium membership.

As far as we have come, we feel HelpMeFind is still in its infancy. With your support we have so much more to accomplish.

*** Growing near Houston, TX: sub tropical zone 9a. Mild winters, hot, extremely humid summers that last half the year. ***

Purchased from Vintage 2011.

November 2012- First year's growth has been steady. It's about 2x2 right now and has bloomed well. Really pretty foliage.

July 2013- Despite constant trampling from the dog, this plant has reached 5 ft tall, though not very filled out.

August 2013- Potted and ready for move to new house.

2/3/2015- Planted in new garden. It was definitely tired of being in a pot! It has a Western exposure with full, blazing afternoon sun and is in the front yard in a row of tea roses about 30 (ish) feet away from the street. Planted between Maman Cochet and Madame Antoine Mari.

2/28/2017- Coming into its own now. Size is about 3.5 ft tall by a little less wide. Good bloomer and pretty foliage. Bushy.

11/28/2018- Size is 6h x 4.5w. Vase shaped.

4/17/2020- Size is about 8w x 7h. This has been a nice landscape plant due to its dense habit and regular blooms. Thrips love the blooms of this one, but you can't see that damage from the street so I don't worry about it.

1/27/2023- Hit hard by the texas arctic blast in 2021, but recovered well (and regained its size after being pruned by half.) and was hit again by another unusually cold arctic blast this past Christmas. Died back to the ground. I'm worried for it.

5/8/2023- Has not come back at all.

1/16/2024- Never attempted to re-grow. I'm assuming it was winter killed. :(
