'Herbie'. Bennett 1986. 'Deep Purple' x 'Dilly Dilly'. Lavender with a rosy blush, this is a delightful little garden rose. The description in The American Rose says the blooms are urn-shaped and set one to a stem. The variety just released here is multi-petalled, a pinky lavender and has a lovely fully open form. I wonder if they are the same.
