Last year Herbie was the most floriferous miniature in my garden, but during the heat of summer as the blooms were completely covering the plant for weeks on end, the quality of the individual blossoms did suffer--most of the blooms at that time were barely even semi-double. The early blossoms both last year and this year, while fewer, are much more beautiful individually. This year I've moved its pot from full sun into partial shade in hopes that it will have fewer but better formed blooms during the summer.
Added a year later--Herbie did _not_ like it in the partial shade, to the point that it was weakened enough that it is having problems emerging from dormancy this spring. I've repotted it and hopefully it will recover.

I have several that are in an area receiving only 1 to 2 hours of sun, and they still give lots of long lasting blooms!
