Bred by Unknown Japanese Breeder(s) (Japan, before 1844).
Discovered by Philipp Von Siebold (Netherlands, before 1844).
Introduced in Netherlands by Philipp von Siebold in 1844 as 'Germania'.
Introduced in Belgium by Établissement Horticole Joseph Baumann in circa 1851 as 'Germania'.
Class:
Hybrid suffruticosa.  
Bloom:
Crimson, darker flares, yellow center.  Single bloom form.
