can anyone describe the color of a rose referred to as "ashes of roses"?

I'm sorry, I do not know of any rosa rose named "Ashes of Roses". There is a succulent with this name. To me it looks sage green. Is this what you are frerring to?

thanks...ashes of roses is the title of a novel and the flowers we used were all very pale pink to whites........our customers were happy..thanks again

Ashes of roses was the color of Meggie Cleary's gown in "The Thornbirds." It looked grayish pink.

The term "ashes of roses" dates from the 1920's and refers to a popular fabric color of a "greyish pink."
