A friend of mine has a rose like nothing I've ever seen, and we don't know what kind it is. I don't have a picture, but maybe someone might recognize it from a description. The flowers are double, and are yellow on the base half of the petals, with a wide red edge, and with elongated yellow speckles (not stripes) all through the red part. Does anyone know what this might be?

Hi Carolyn, it is really hard to identify without a picture but could it be Harry Wheatcroft? a hybrid tea. Does your friend's rose look anything like the photos on the site of this rose?
Good luck Jody

It could be a Tequila Sunrise. When they first bloom, are the inner peices of the rose bright yellow and pinky red at the outside? And then... does the red develop around the edges? Check the photos and take a look. good luck!
