PRUNING GLOVES

Hello fellow rose-lovers,

Can anyone recommend some heavy-duty pruning gloves? Ideally something that protects from prickles, but doesn't sacrifice too much dexterity.

Any recommendations are much appreciated!

I sacrificed dexterity and bought welders gloves.

Long goatskin gloves are good.
You could look for blackberry-pickers' sleeves - I think they're canvas, and you wear them as well as gloves.

In Australia I use Cow Grain Riggers Gloves. I buy six pairs at a time and keep them in a tin until needed.
I had a tentmaker make me a pair of canvas sleeve guards once, but the arms simply run with perspiration so much that I have never used them. Now I just move more slowly and carefully around thorny things.
