Kapunda Rd Eudunda, SA, 5374, supply this rose bare root in Winter via mail order. Orders taken Aug-Jan for roses supplied the following Winter. Descriptive catalogue send 8 stamps, contains 1300 varieties. Don't send to WA or TAS, due to quarantine restrictions.

I planted 2 bareroot Constance Spry to cover an aarbor along with a trumpet vine in early winter. They got off to a slow start but now completely cover the arbor. I did bend some of the canes over to produce laterals, however for the most part I wove them through the lattice. The problem is no blooms.I fertilized carefully with premixed rose bloom food. Did I not force enough canes over? It is September 12 and it is still growing! The companion trumpet vine did not bloom either. the location is not real sunny but the weather is definitely warm with 50 days over 100F.

'Constance Spry' only flowers once a year in Spring for a few weeks, after that you'll have to wait another whole year for it to bloom again. Perhaps you could replace this rose with say 'New Dawn' rose or 'Eden Rose' that bloom all year , given dead-heading (except in Winter), and put your Constance Spry plants somewhere else in the garden.

They were probably not large enough to bloom this year, but will give you gorgeous blooms next spring! They only bloom in the spring, so don't prune it untill after it blooms. Post a photo when it blooms!

Are Lagerfeld Roses available for retail sale as "flowers" (i.e., a dozen in a bouquet) or only as rose bushes at nurseries? If not, is there a rose that is similar that is so available?
I am desperately trying to buy a dozen for Valentine's DAy for my girlfriend as they are her favorite rose.

'Blue Moon' rose would come close, this rose is very common and has a good scent, your florist should be able to obtain this.

we live in israel. the climate is hot and dry with no rain during the 4 summer months.altho the rose bushes grow to huge sizes, there are other problems. these include:a unbelieveable amount of fungal infection especially powdery mildew, lack of bud production during the summer and loss of fragrance during the summer.the rose books we have stress the north american or northern european climate.are thereany books that detail issues related to a mediterrean climate? thank you. arnold freeman

Hello Arnold
Might I suggest any rose books written in Australia, particularly the Southern parts that also have a Mediterranean climate. Rose books by Susan Irvine are good. A few tiles of her books are 'Gardens of Australia' and 'Garden of a Thousand Roses'.
