Rosa Gallica...Die Mohnrose, or rather Mohnkopfrose. Rosa papaverina. Mr. Mönch. page 123 lists it as a variety of Rosa Gallica, the Blooms are densely filled, quite dark red and form a perfect ovoid, they are three to five inches in Diameter, but fluttery and similar to a double poppy head.

Rosa Belgica...Prof. Mönch p. 122 lists as varieties of Rosa Belgica, which have originated from seeds thereof:
Rosa amabilis, ma favorite. A large-bloomed variety.
...He lists these as the most beautiful roses originated in Weissenstein from the seeds of the Belgica.

Rosa Belgica. Foliage. Ovoid, pointed, acuminate, singly or double serrated, below somewhat tomentose.
Blooms. The reverse of petals is whitish, inside flesh-coloured, they are flat apart, in clusters of three, four, five together, floriferous.
Fruit. The ovary is mostly smooth.
Habit. The stem has the dimensions of the Centifolia.
Mr. Lueder II p. 588 lists it as a variety of Rosa Gallica; Professor Mönch p. 122 as a variety of Centifolia; Mr. Borkhausen as a variety of the Province-Rose. She is also called the large flesh-coloured rose (grosse fleischfarbene Rose). May she not have originated from the Centifolia as Mr. Mönch p. 122 believes?
