The History of Italian roses given on the website of Le Rose di Piedimonte says that the rose Belle Gabrielle was in fact Belle di Lodi of 1818. What is your view?

It is known that early Chinas and Teas by Italian breeders like Villoresi were distribued in France under new names. Desportes (1828) is the only source which indicates 'Belle de Lody' as a synonym of 'Belle Gabrielle'. More information on 'Belle de Lody' or 'Bella di Lodi' would be very welcome.
