Bred by Alister Clark (1864-1949) (Australia, 1929).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1929 as 'Joyce Fairey'.

Bloom:
Scarlet.  Mild fragrance.  Large, semi-double (9-16 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:
Joyce Fairey was the daughter of Frank Fairey who wrote in The Gardening Bulletin, South Australia under the pen name of ‘Greenleaf’.

This rose had the same character as 'Paul's Scarlet Climber', but a little softer in colour and larger flowers.
