Bred by William Paul (1822-1905) (United Kingdom, 1892).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1897 as 'Zenobia'.

Bloom:
Pink.  Strong fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals), globular bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  Mossed buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright.  Leathery foliage.  

Height: 4'1" to 6'7" (125 to 200cm).  Width: up to 47" (up to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 4a through 5b.  Vigorous.
