Dear Mr. Millington, I am delighted to hear it. Ludwig's Roses of South Africa have now opened an American subsidiary in Arizona, offering a good selection, including some European varieties hitherto not available here. From what I can gather, I think they did pretty well in their first year stateside. Best wishes for your future endeavors and long may your lovely roses grow.
This rose looks very good Warren! Is it healthy? And the fragrance? Others You posted photo's of today are looking good too. What decided you to mate these two roses? Fragrance? I would like to see this-one in real-life!
Warren, Ah You're strict/rigorous as for health of the new creations. I think a good attitude to have in creating worthwile roses. Do You consider having Your roses propagated and sold, or even evaluated/judged, in Europe? (and Australia?) The photo with the roses on the field... are they all Your own creations? Regards, Jay-Jay
Jay Jay , I have 53 cultivars now being grown in Holland and will be released through Belgium. Some will be put into the Concours International de Roses Nouvelles du Roeulx this year and I also have various cultivars being trialed in the trial gardens in Adelaide.
Those roses growing in the field are all of my own creations.
Good heavens... all of Your own creation... You're a (big) breeder! How do Your roses do in the trials in Adelaide? Good luck next year at the Concours International de Roses Nouvelles du Roeulx. 53 roses and released through Belgium? May I ask which breeder? Or is it still a secret and will You let us know, when it's the time for that? Is Big Hearted amongst them? Thanks, Jay-Jay.
Jay Jay I am not a big breeder i just plod along here in country NSW. The cultivars are doing well in Adelaide from the last reports. If you look up Breathless Charm you will see who is relaesing them for me in Europe so it no secret, the cat was let out of the bag back in June 2013. Big Hearted is not in this first batch of cultivars.
Thank You! ... okay a humble breeder! Do You have a good experience with this nursery? I'll await if 'Big Hearted' will be introduced too. Regards, Jay-Jay. PS: Btw, did You try 'Westerland' as a hip-parent?
