Any source suggesting it has strong fragrance as in the description page? On ADR website it is marked as “no scent”.

The Canadian patent application states: FLOWER: single, round, red colour group, medium density of petals, flat profile of upper part, concave profile of lower part, strong fragrance; while there is no mention of fragrance in the US patent. There is no mention of fragrance in the nursery listings too. The Canadian applcation must be erroneous.

In its first year in my garden in GA (climate zone 8b) it has demonstrated great vigor and outstanding resistance to black spot.

The new variety of Rosa hybrida shrub rose plant was created by artificial pollination wherein two parents were crossed which previously had been studied in the hope that they would contribute the desired characteristics. The female parent (i.e., the seed parent) was a cross between the `Kormax` variety (non-patented in the United States) and a non-patented and unnamed seedling. The male parent (i.e., the pollen parent) was the cross between `Meipoque` variety (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 5,956) and the `Korimro` variety (non-patented in the United States). The `Meipoque` variety is being marketed under the PINK MEIDILAND trademark. The parentage of the new variety can be summarized as follows: (`Kormax`.times.Unnamed Seedling).times.(`Meipoque`.times.`Korimro`)
