There are several others which have lilac fragrance in combination with other fragrances, however 'Lilac Dawn' and 'Scentsational' are described as lilac only. Try!
Always a Lady bred by Dee Bennett I think is one of her best work! I love this rose. The blooms always surprise me with bud to open bloom. And the lavender color is amazing. She is disease resistant for me in my no spray garden. We get very little rust here and not a black spot belt.
We got Always a Lady in 2001. She quickly became a favorite of both Deb and I. AaL is not cane hardy here but spring growth is vigorous. She gets 2 feet tall and wide within a month to 6 weeks after pruning. She doesn't get much taller here. The bush does fill in and get thicker during the season. She has 25 to 45 blooms per flush. The second and third flush are usually larger than the first. She seems to like the warmer weather. Blooms open slowly and smell great. I really enjoy getting close to this mini for photos. Turnaround time is average, about 6 weeks.
Blackspot is not a problem here. Powdery mildew has not been a problem on Always a Lady.
