Shrub Roses. 'Mabelle Stearns'. Lush double blossoms, 5 to 7.5 cm (2 to 3 in.) across with 50 to 60 petals each, are peach-pink and bloom in clusters. Strong fragrance. Plants grow only 30 to 60cm (1 to 2 ft) tall but spread 1.8 to 2.4 metres (6 to 8 ft) wide; they bloom continuously. Introduced 1938.

Mothersday (also called 'Fete des Meres', 'Morsdag', and 'Muttertag'). Clusters of up to 20 deep red, double flowers, 2.5 to 5cm (1 to 2 in.) across, bloom profusely on glossy-leaved plants less than 0.9 metres (3 ft) tall. No fragrance. Introduced 1937.

Rosaleen  Double flowers, 7.5 to 10 cm (3 to 4 in.) across, are dark red in colour and blossom in large clusters.  No fragrance.  Plants grow 1.2 tro 1.5 metres (4 to 5 ft) tall and are exceptionally hardy.  Introduced 1933.

Sombreuil Double blossoms shaped like wide, flat cups, 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 in.) across, have petals of creamy-white sometimes tinged with pink.  Strong fragrance.  A climbing tea that grows from 1.5 to 3 metres (5 to 10 ft) tall.  Introduced 1850.

'Swan Lake'. Large-flowered climber. Large, fully double flowers, 10 to 12.5 cm (4 to 5 in.) across, pure white with pale pink shading in the centre, have a moderate fragrance. Plants bloom continuously and grow to a height of 2.4 to 3 metres (8 to 10 ft). Introduced 1968.
