February 15, 2023. Seven years old this spring! Own-root from ARE. An unseasonably mild day in the grips of midwinter, temperatures reached around 54°F, perfect for a garden tour and observation. Mild winter weather has demonstrated die-back only in the tender hybrid teas so far. Lowest so far has been -9°F. Autumn Damask looking great and primed for a spring show.
