I've resisted replying to your inquiry because my "Marlowe Soft Orange" has been through many stresses over the years, first being planted in a place where I realized that all of the roses in that area lost water to the neighbors' trees and didn't do as well as they should have...then it was moved from So. Cal. to So. Oregon. But it was one of the few roses to survive the move from there to here which says its definitely a hardy rose. After trying to get re-established and then hit by a very harsh winter last year, it's getting back into its stride of blooming. It's never, under less than optimal conditions in my gardens, been a prolific bloomer, but I've loved the blooms that it has produced and have seen a gorgeous specimen of it in full bloom at the Sacramento Historic Rose Garden under much better conditions, so I know it can be quite something if given better care than my poor plant has had to endure. I bought mine from Garden Valley Ranch. If you'd like cuttings, I'd be glad to share them, and I may even try to grow some in my greenhouse this coming year. Send me a PM if you want to try some cuttings...next spring or so.
