In 2001 the Canadian Post Office issued a series of 4 postage stamps of Canadian Bred Roses. 12.5 million stamps were sold out in about 4 months.
'Canadian White Star' was one of those. You can see the Souvenir Sheet of the 4 stamps on my home page at www3.telus.net/georgemander
In early 2003, the Canadian postage stamp featuring ‘Canadian White Star’ has been chosen in the Paris based International Philatelic Competition as the “Most Beautiful Stamp” in the Americas and the “Third Best” stamp in the world.

This is the first good photo of this rose with my new digital camera. It's the BEST of a doz. shots.
It is not easy to photograph a white rose as you have to overexpose at least one stop.
Now check out the photo next to this, which is even whiter. My son took it wih his new 8.0 Canon.
