This botanical hybrid rose is clearly a descendant of the Rosa × waitziana var. macrantha Rehd. It will be available at the Loubert's Rose Nursery in few years.
It may be a direct seedling of Rosa × waitziana (naturally hybridized with some gallica?), because this rose was found inside a hedgerow of thujas along a road, some 20 meters distant of the rose-garden of M.
