Description of Brook Song on the IA State website:

Medium yellow shrub. the large, long-pointed, ovoid deep lemon yellow (RHSCC 14A) buds with Saturn red (RHSCC 30B) on the reverse and open to double (35-45 petals), imbricated, open, 4.5-5 inch blooms of chrome yellow (RHSCC 14D) which age to amber yellow (RHSCC 18C). The blooms are borne in clusters of 1-8 and have a pleasant, sweet fragrance. The abundant, leathery foliage is dark green (RHSCC 139A) and has good field tolerance to foliar disease. The thorns are tan and awl-like. The erect, bushy, 3.5 ft plant is in continuous bloom from June until killing frost. The plants are winter-hardy in Iowa without protection.
