Breeder's notes:
Culled mid-summer 2020 due to some kind of blight. I did not have a replacement plant. This was likely a Triploid and very difficult to get into the breeding program anyway.
Breeding code 9V. Love this plant. Having grown it for 10 years, I still cannot get a cross out of it. It blooms very late - usually well past breeding season. It does not set hips frequently. It is stuffed in the back corner of the yard in a 50 gal pot - in the shade. It blooms heavily every year, puts on growth for next year, and waits out the hot weather. Never seen a hint of disease - ever.
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
"Alpine" is a study name for this seedling. All seedlings in the current breeding pool from 2007 through 2010 are given a study name based on a Texas town/city starting with the letter 'A'.
