After much searching for its scent, I found a discussion in Houzz on Queen of Elegance having a scent similar to Julia Child: licorice.

It should be bred by Tom Carruth, introduced by Weeks Roses 2020
Parentage: Life of the party x Koko Loco

Thank you Jolene. Do you have a reference we can quote please?
I believe Tom Carruth retired in 2012 and ‘Queen of Elegance’ is carrying a bred date of c2017.

I contacted Weeks Roses and got response from Dawn Miller
“Good morning Jolene,

Thank you for contacting Weeks Roses concerning your Queen of Elegance rose.

I can confirm that all the pictures you have emailed are indeed Queen of Elegance.

The information on the tag is correct because I designed the tag and the information was given to me by our Research Dept.

Weeks Roses does not add or correct information on Help Me Find Roses. That info can be changed by anyone with a paying membership. Unfortunately, the information is incorrect on Help Me Find Roses.

Our website is in the process of being updated and we apologize for not already having the correct information posted.”

I believe one of our members, tspate, is connected with Weeks Roses. On four separate occasions I have queried a point with this member but never had a response. It is a great pity that Weeks does not add or correct information on HelpMeFind - if they took the time to do so, we usually take action within a day. They appear to be misinformed with their belief that anyone with a paying membership can change information on a rose listing. Breeders can certainly add information on their own roses, and we welcome their input, for who knows their roses better than they do. Unfortunately Dawn Miller does not elaborate on WHAT information is incorrect in HelpMeFind.

The tags at the local nurseries are stating 'Life of the Party'.

Thank you Michael. Changed the seed parent from
Julia Child ™ (Floribunda, Carruth, 2004) × Stormy Weather (LCl, Orard 2010)
to
Life of the Party.

Sorry I don't have a photo. I don't use cell phones and I didn't bring a camera that day.

Michael, you have been helping with HelpMeFind long enough now that your word is certainly good enough for me. (I don’t use cell phones either - they just don’t work where we live.)

Somehow, I can’t upload the pictures here. Which email you want me send to?

You should be able to upload photos. Perhaps your photos are too large? - try reducing the size.
Would you please remove your email address from your comment please. Thanks.

Julia Child X Stormy Weather is the same parentage as WEKjucistwe ‘Life of the Party.’ Since the reg name of this rose starts with WEK for Weeks Roses, it’s a safe bet that it was also bred by Christian Bédard. This rose has similar coloring to David Austin’s ‘Princess Alexandra of Kent,’ but is more adapted to perform better in our climate.
