We have two roses listed.
Vicki Buck (hybrid tea, Simpson 2001) [SIMvic] Yellow
Vicki Buck (hybrid tea, Tagashira, 1996) Orange pink

I think they might be the same.
ARA MR says Simpson’s yellow rose was introduced in Hiroshima in 1996.
Mr. Tagashira lives in Hiroshima.
The New Zealand photos of Simpson’s rose are yellow and I would like to upload them but don’t have permission and am battling with a new printer/scanner right now.

Yes, I thought having two roses issued in the smae year with the same name was a bit of a coincidence, however, the photos of Mr. Kiya are definitely of a yellow rose. Does SIMvic change colour? Why would it be attributed to Mr. Tagashira, he is not a nursery. His date is earlier than Simpson's. Was it first introduced in Japan and only later registered in NZ? And lastly, who was Vicki Buck? A lot of questions.

Questioning is how we find the truth Jedmar.
I have two photos of ‘Vicki Buck’ SIMvic on my bookshelves.
It would really help if a New Zealand person could upload either one. They are from the:
New Zealand Rose Annual 2003 between pages 48 and 49.
New Zealand Rose Annual 2004 page 48.
Both are of a strong yellow rose. (am still working on my new printer/scanner *%#*!)

The date of ‘Vicki Buck’ SIMvic is shown as before 2001.
In the 2004 reference it was stated that Vicki Buck was named after the former Mayor of Christchurch, (New Zealand).

I am getting to know my new printer/scanner and have uploaded the two very yellow photos of
'Vicki Buck' (hybrid tea, Simpson 2001) [SIMvic]
It is most unlikely that there were two roses named after the former Mayor of Christchurch, so I can only presume that the rose 'Vicki Buck' can change colour and that Tagashira introduced the rose into Japan in 1996.

Anotzher possibility is that the Tagashira rose is mislabeled, on site or on the photo
