I got one of these a 2 or 3months ago, it's first bloom opened today and I can confirm it has a very strong sweet lemony fragrance. Possibly tied with Ebb Tide (in my garden) for strongest fragrance.
update 21/Jul/17: Just a note of fertility since it has no descendants at this time. The plant set a few OP hips (not many compared to other plants I got in the same season) of which a few seedlings are currently growing so at the very least it is partially fertile.
update 22/Oct/2018: Passes on mauve pretty well, the lemon scent passes on in most cases. Passes on the matte blueish foliage often.
Gras Blue is experiencing BS at the moment, not terribly but still noticeable, of the mauve's I've had it's the most healthy.
24/Nov/2018: Now completely defoliated woo.....still better than most lavenders

Do you still have this rose? It is currently on a two for one sale with free postage, and I was thinking of getting a couple, but I don't want to spend the money if it is going to spend most of its time defoliated from black spot. I already have one lavender in my garden that does that, and it's about to get the boot.

I still have it. Still use it in breeding, so isn't a horrible plant. I'm just critical of faults.
It's not defoliated (or in a state of) most of the time. It just gets infected, defoliates all at once and then bounces back quickly. It's not like say Blue Moon which is without foliage for long periods of time.
I think it's one of the better mini's if fragrance is of importance. Health is slightly better than average, it's far better than most HT's but you wouldn't say it's perfect. If health is the primary concern, I wouldn't be surprised if the new release Kordes rose 'My Little Angel' is better, but it doesn't have fragrance.

Thanks for your helpful reply. I think I'll proceed with my purchase. It's funny that you should mention Blue Moon, because that's the one that is more than likely getting the boot.
