'Kardinal' rose Reviews & Comments

Glossy dark leaves are remarkably healthy and clean (absolutely no BS in my climate). If I could rate its foliage as "exceptional" I would.
Petals are a pure, deep velvety red. The dark -colored petals may burn some in our hot Texas sun, but otherwise a remarkable landscape rose, (The gorgeous foliage makes this a much prettier as a bush, IMHO, than the ubiquitous K.O. despite any hot-weather deficits.)
Kardinal Kolorscape also appears relatively drought resistant.
Does not set hips freely, unfortunately for breeders, and has no fragrance.

Very velvety look to the petals and deep clear red that holds and does not purple.
