Edda, Kletternde Teehybride (S. Bild), (M. Lodi 1929), Verkaufer; Giovanni Borgati Bologna. Abstammung: Reine Marie Henriette T x Boncenne, RH. Der Beschreibung nach hat die Rose starken, rankenden Wuchs wie die Mutterrose, dazu rötlich grünes und gesundes Laub. Die Blume ist groß, sehr voll und hat helle Malvenfarbe; die Mitte aber ist rötlich, sehr abstechend gegen die Farbe der äusseren Blütenblatter. Der Zuchter, Herr M. Lodi ist ein in Bologna wohnender Rosen- freund; Herr Borgati ist eifrig befaßt mit Kreuzungen und besitzt eine Reihe von Neuheiten, die 1931/32 in den Handel kommen. Von seiner Rose Edda. wird er für den Versuchsgarten des Vereinsrosarium Reiser senden.

According to the description the rose has strong, climbing habit like the seed parent, plus reddish-green and healthy foliage. The bloom is large, very full and light mauve; however the center is reddish, contrasting strongly against the colour of the outer petals. The breeder, Mr. Lodi, is a rose lover living in Bologna; Mr. Borgati is busy with crossbreeding and owns a number of novelties, which will come on the market in 1931/32. He will send scions from his rose Edda to the experimental garden of the Society's Rosarium.
