Book (2005) p32 Lorraine Roberts. Five Favourite Small Roses. 'Christmas Eve'. I particularly like the elegant white buds and the small foliage which complements this rose perfectly. It is inclined to have floppy growth when young but improves with age. If it had long straight stems it would be almost perfect.
p115 Peter Bamber. Review of the Newer Roses for the 2004-2005 Season. Miniatures/Patios. 'Christmas Eve'. Garden rating 7.7, Exhibition rating 7.7: 13 bushes, 6 reports. Some health problems: Light fragrance: Medium height: White flowers. Northland likes its clean white colour and good repeat. Otago has it growing in a pot under the eaves, so maybe that's why there are a few mites, but a very pretty decorative and sometimes a high centred exhibition bloom or two. Waikato - has HT shape, looks promising but few flowers. Another Otago grower has lovely elegant buds, a real sweetie. Central Otago - cream centred flowers fading to white, plenty of heads but weak in some stems. Good decorative shape, healthy foliage, useful in floral work.
