That is some insane color saturation for 1929. Wow! Italy has had some interesting roses. There are some Banskia minis, too, somewhere out there from Italy.

Yes, check roses bred by Quinto Mansuino and you will find these Banksia minis.

Loading a photo of Sole di Sanremo by Sanremo Experimental Station (1929 reference) I realized that the other photos that I loaded previously were of the Sole di Sanremo but by Quinto Mansuino coltivated in Roseto Botanico Carla Fineschi . Apparently this latter rose is missing in HMF as there is no entry for it. However the label of the Roseto is the only information we have of it. Although we managed to find information on a large number of Mansuino's roses nothing came out related to this one. The photos clearly suggest it to be a mansuiniana .. still as already happened that two italian roses bearing the same nome (Radiosa) resulted to be one .... I will try and find out more about this issue.
PS Sole di sanremo by Quinto Mansuino is not missing .. just a different spelling! I will move there the relative photos
