In a Mar 15, 2018 message on the Rose Hybridizers Association forum, David Zlesak indicated that Mango Salsa is a diploid.

Difficult to believe that it is diploid with that complex parentage.

Maybe the unknown pollen parent has something to do with it?

Even if the pollen parent were diploid, wouldn't the cross be at least triploid? Unless of course something strange happened as with Rosa kordesii.

Like with Baby Love and Sweet Magic, the ploidy split is probably from Nozomi. Eyeopener is probably triploid due to Nozomi being a diploid. Nozomi is found twice in Eyeopener, and so is an unknown portion.

Mango Salsa is likely diploid as the result of two triploid parents.
