Book (Dec 1998) Page(s) 276. Includes photo(s). ‘Golden Bettina’. Modern, large-flowered hybrid tea. Deep yellow. Repeat-flowering. This sport bears deep chrome yellow flowers, instead of the deep salmon orange of its parent. The fragrant, double blooms each have 35 petals and develop from attractive oval buds that open to well-formed, rather flat flowers. The foliage is dark green, glossy and abundant and the growth habit is vigorous with good flower production. Disease resistance is excellent. Both ‘Bettina’ and ‘Golden Bettina’ are good roses for bedding schemes and borders, and make bushy standards. Zones 5-9. Ruston, Australia, 1970. Sport of ‘Bettina’.
