Notes:
Until further information comes to hand, we are presuming ‘Dulhunty’ was bred by Michael Guilfoyle, (1809-1884) Exotic Nursery, Double Bay, NSW. It was possibly named after Lawrence Vance Dulhunty (1803-1871) who was assistant surveyor of roads and bridges in 1828. (or the Dulhunty properties?). Refer Australian Geographic Society’s The Australian Encyclopaedia p1049-1050. More on some of the Dulhunty pioneers is available online, courtesy of http://www.dulhunty.com/html/Dpc4.htm

The 1874 and 1894 references hint that it was not a Guilfoyle rose. More research is required.
