Novelties of the Year.
Madame Andre Duron. (Hybrid Tea.) Another grand rose of this year. It is an "everbloomer" indeed, never being without flowers, which are large and double, and cupped after the style of American Beauty, and of a beautiful bright crimson, unshaded. Sweet-scented, like the June roses, and also as strong and heavy in growth. A good deal of discussion is going on in the horticultural papers concerning it; we predict that it will become popular, for few roses combine so well continuity of bloom, fine color, and strong growth. 25 cents.

Mme. Andre Duron (Bonnaire). - This rose has much the character of the old Bourbon 'Sir Joseph Paxton' in foliage, habit, and type of inflorescence; the flowers are said to sometimes attain to the size of those of 'Paul Neron', but it is to be feared that its common color will be much against it.
Magazine  (1 Oct 1887)  Page(s) 149.
