My plant does well in zone 6 on south side of house. No problem. Just light cane protection with straw/grass clippings in winter.

Nice all-around rose. Bright color. Neat form. Good hardiness. Pretty good disease resistance.

Updated request on the royal velvet does anyone have the website or a toll free number for the rose distributor: Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) of Pennsylvania and also Meilland-Star Roses INC. in California.
