Origin:
Bred by Jean Pernet (père) (France, 1867).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1873 as 'Baroness Rothschild'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Light pink or rose-pink, white shading.  None to mild, opinions vary fragrance.  40 petals.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, cupped, globular bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright.  

Height: 4' to 6' (120 to 185cm).  Width: 3' (90cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 4b and warmer.  Prune after flowering is finished.
