Chaplin, UK 1932. Semis de ‘Alberic Barbier’.

Border Varieties. For low borders it is difficult to get varieties that will not grow too high for the purpose. The following varieties should be able to be kept to twelve or eighteen inches. Baby Alberic White, double. Well formed buds and dark green healthy foliage.

…I still think, however, that the old Baby Alberic is better and takes a lot of beating.

Mass Effect Roses. Baby Alberic This is by far the finest of all White H. poly’s. Having extremely glossy foliage and marvelously formed little double white roses with buds that are a dream. Also it is very healthy. The only fault is that under very cool conditions it makes an occasional pale orange bloom. As this is one that may be used for corsage and buttonhole, I will sell one or more if desired. Average a foot to 16 ins.
Website/Catalog  (1948)  Page(s) 12.

Baby Alberic Pure white; very double; sturdy.
