Bred by Mathias Tantau, Jr. (1912 - 2006) (Germany, before 1970).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Wheatcroft Brothers Ltd. in 1970 as 'Miss Harp'.
Introduced in Australia by Roy H. Rumsey Pty. Ltd. in 1971 as 'Miss Harp'.
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. (post 1970) in 1975 as 'Oregold'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Deep yellow.  Mild, fruity fragrance.  25 petals.  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:

Height: 5' to 6'7" (150 to 200cm).  Width: 4' (120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6a through 10b.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .  Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).
