Bred by Alain Meilland (1940-....) (France, 1998).
Introduced in United States by CP-Meilland Inc/Star Roses (California) in 2008 as 'Peach Drift'.
Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in 2009 as 'Peach Drift'.

Bloom:

Apricot, light yellow undertones, ages to pink . Bright apricot peach. Mild fragrance. 19 to 30 petals. Average diameter 2". Medium, very double, in small clusters, cupped bloom form. Continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season. Ovoid buds.

Habit:

Short, bushy, few or no prickles/thorns, rounded. Medium, glossy, dark green foliage. 3 to 9 leaflets.

Height: 10" to 18" (25 to 45cm). Width: 22" to 26" (55 to 65cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 5b through 10b. Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower, garden or ground cover.

'Meiggili' originated from hybridization work conducted by the breeder at Le Luc en Provence, France in June 1998. The cross was conducted between the female unnamed proprietary seedling ('Ruimired' x 'Paul Crampel') and the male unnamed proprietary seedling ('Korimro' x 'Lady Gay').
