Origin:

Bred by Emmanuel-Maxime aka Paul Buatois (France, 1935).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1937 as 'Madame Robert Fortin'.

Hybrid Tea.

Bloom:

Carmine-red, purple shading. Strong fragrance. Large, double (17-25 petals), cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Ovoid buds.

Habit:

Upright, well-branched. Large, light green foliage.

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Very vigorous.
