This is definitely one of the most beautiful red climbers I have ever seen. I first saw it on a tour to France arranged by the Norwegian Rose Society a couple of years ago, and decided that this would be a "must have" rose. I managed to get it from Denmark, and planted it in spring last year (2008). The flowers are just as beautiful as I remember, only there haven`t been too many of them, neither last year nor this year. Besides I am also waiting for the allegedly vigorous growth to start. The neighbouring groundcover rose "Mainaufeuer" is already half way up the arche, which is more than could be said for the Messire for which the arche was intended in the first place. Well me and my dark red climbers. But I still keep my hopes high though, as it is a beautiful rose indeed.
