The word shade can mean different things but to a rose it usually means that the sun is either filtered all day or the rose can get 4 hours of direct sunshine. Mermaid will take the above definations of shade.
We are just trying to prepare a young Mermaid for her first German winter. We are in frost zone 7, and we might have down to minus 15 degree Celsius. Can anyone give recommendations for an appropriate winter protection?

ich habe deine Frage gelesen und kann dir da leider auch nicht weiterhelfen, aber ich hoffe sehr du mir... Ich habe nämlich ebenfalls vor Mermaid anzupflanzen und lebe in der Geltinger Bucht/Ostsee - also ebenfalls Zone 7. Wie hat sich denn deine Mermaid bis jetzt gemacht. Der Winter war ja dieses Jahr bis jetzt noch keiner. Hast du Winterschutz gegeben und wenn ja in welcher Form? Ich würde mich riesig freuen, wenn du mir mailen könntest.
