    " 'Menja' Hybrid Musk
    Origin: Petersen, Denmark, 1960
    Flower Size: 0.8in (2 cm)
    Scent: Light & musky
    Flowering: Repeats well
    Height/Spread: 6.6 ft (2m)/6.6 ft (2m)
    Hardiness: Zone 5

    Native to Scandinavia, occasionally in Germany, unknown elsewhere. Distinctive flowers, so tightly cupped they appear bell-shaped and never open out. Said to be a hybrid musk, but is very different from others. buds are pale crimson, open to pink, darker backs, fade to white in heat. Do not drop petals, long airy sprays 20 - 40 flowers. In Autumn clusters are much larger, up to 100 flowers, long arching sprays. Healthy light green leaves, short prickles, tiny orange hips. Good pillar rose in warm climates."

    Yes. I remember well that you liked Stirmer (spelling?) apples.
    I am so happy that I did at least one tour in my lifetime with David Ruston.
