‘Melody Marshall’, a sport of ‘Mary Marshall’, discovered in New Zealand by Simpson in 1985 ; and in California by Ralph Moore in 1993. Perhaps Mr. Moore found a healthier sport to bear the name of ‘Melody Marshall’?

There is the slim chance that Mary Marshall, on her visits to New Zealand, (1988 ref) took this rose back to California to show to her daughter, Melody and to Ralph Moore. It may be the same rose or it may not. My feeling is to leave the file as is until further info comes to light.
