Bred by Amanda Beales (1967-2013) (United Kingdom, before 2006).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Peter Beales Roses in 2006 as 'Sir Paul Smith'.
Class:
Climber, Large-Flowered Climber.  
Bloom:
Deep pink to carmine-pink.  Strong, green grass, tea fragrance.  Average diameter 4.75".  Large, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters bloom form.  Continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.  Decorative buds.  
Habit:
Medium, climbing, dense, spreading.  Medium, semi-glossy, medium green foliage.  

Height: 10' (305cm).  Width: 5' (150cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for container rose, garden or pillar.  Vigorous.  can be grown as a shrub.  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood..  Prune lightly until this rose gets established (about two years), then prune it back by about a third..  
Breeder's notes:
(Climber) Large, very fragrant, almost fully double blooms of rich deep pink, bordering on carmine, borne in clusters. Continuous flowering but if not deadheaded, will produce huge, rich orange-red hips which hang on the plant well into winter. Growth, vigorous and dense. Foliage very healthy, large and dark green.

We have introduced this rose at the request of Lady Smith as a birthday present to Sir Paul Smith the fashion designer.
