'Kilmore Rose' Reviews & Comments

This rose looks like an achievement. I can tell you, by look at the pics and working a lot with Rosa rugosa alba, that the male parent was likely a saturated color, of moderate sized bloom and foliage, and mostly likely modern triploid or tetraploid descent. Rra will bleach most roses, and a lot of them will be twice-only blooming, so this rose looks like a success, and the color is mostly modern.

Cuttings strike with ease. Flowers are more of a deep orangey red for me here in Tasmania than a deep pink. Beautiful, semi-double flower. Healthy good grower but can get a bit of mildew. May sucker on own roots but mine haven't yet. Great rose. Should be more widely available and grown.
