'Madame Ancelot' rose Description

Bloom:
Pink, silver(y) highlights. Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form. Rounded buds.
Habit:
Upright. Glossy foliage.
Height: up to 39" (up to 100cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b. Hardy. vigorous.

Source: L'Haÿ-les-roses label Jules Gravereaux bought Dr. Müller's Rugosa seedling collection in 1901/02 and issued them under his name.
In 1902, Jules Gravereaux's son René Gravereaux (1875-1960) married Marthe Ancelot (1881-1972), whose father Alfred Ancelot was a manufacturer of haberdashery in Paris. René Gravereaux himself became later an important textiles manufacturer.
