In the photos here, the coloring of Grand Prize looks similar to Easter Basket. I'm wondering which would be the better one to get (I know -- subjective, and can vary with climate). Has anyone here grown both, and can you compare them for me?

I am 13 years too late, but for future buyers:

Easter Basket is a big rose, that is very easy to grow. Grand Prize is an average floribunda with all of the pros and cons an average floribunda usually has.

Ha ha. . .I like Grand Prize better than Easter Basket. Grand Prize is a spectacular rose when grown on fortuniana rootstock.

Rich Baer told me the same when it was new.

Aug 2010 ~GRAND PRIZE~ was looking fine on the Coast in HalfMoonBay ! It had many blooms that were ivory/orange in the center opening with a large circular ruffled edge that resembles a cottage-looking rose. Some blooms had a pleasant, but only a slight scent. NO powder-Mildew on any of the bushes that were there at Pastorino's Farm, and that is great, considering the cloudy conditions that have prevailed the entire year; it's been a bad year for many roses here due to the limited sunny days in NorCAL, however GrndP, has weathered it darn well . . . so I bought one !

This is a very good little rose for me, in a very wet climate. It blooms in flushes which cover the bush and last a long time.

Mike,
Came home today from Costco with a Grand Prize. Saw your comment dated July 07. How did this one perform for you?
