'L'Aimant' rose Description

Bloom:
Light pink. Flowers soft peach pink. Strong, citrus, damask fragrance. 40 to 50 petals. Average diameter 4.25". Large, very full (41+ petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters, cupped, ruffled bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Medium, mounded, spreading. Medium, glossy, medium green foliage.
Height: 3' to 42" (90 to 105cm). Width: 30" (75cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer. Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower or garden. Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot . Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) . Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).

Notes:
The variety is named after the Coty perfume. It was also marketed on the european continent as 'Merlin' of the "English Legend Roses" series. The French word doux means sweet... Someone who grows this rose in Alabama (Zone 8) says: I find that this rose seems to suffer from black spot in my climate and that it grows taller than 3'.
